Dissertation proposal – we can give you ideas

Dissertation proposal – our ideas will surely help you score well

Writing the dissertation might not be as challenging as writing the dissertation proposal. This is because you need to know what you are going to work on and what its scope is going to be. Without this info, you cannot proceed even an inch in the dissertation writing process. You could think of the proposal as a kind of map or a blueprint on which you are going to build your entire work. It is just as important as the architectural plans and sketches that you have with you before you begin building your house. So, get to know your topic if you want to have a good piece of writing in hand at the end of the whole exercise. Of course, we are always around to help you out, should you falter at any step of the way.

Important elements of a good proposal –

1.    The Introduction – this contains a very brief description of the issue that you will focus on. You also need to mention where this particular point figures in the larger scope of things. The intro also contains the core research question, which you will be addressing, as well.
2.    Problem statement or thesis statement could be put into the intro, but some colleges and universities specify that a detailing of the statement, be put into a separate unit within the dissertation. In such a case, this unit should contain explanations about the issue, its developmental context and why it is relevant to your study in particular and the subject, in general.
3.    Theoretical outline or framework – here, you need to explain what your perspectives are on the issue. Bring in the elements or theories on which you base your perceptions. The actual framework or constructs are to be examined. A reproduction (diagrammatic or otherwise) of your perception could be included.
4.    Methodologies – how are you going to carry out the study and demonstrate the veracity of your perspectives? How does this fit in with the problem or thesis statement? Can it be blended with the framework that you have outlined in a previous chapter
5.    References or bibliography should include all the periodicals, books, newspapers and websites that you will be using in the course of your study. Adequate credit, in the right format, should be given. Your dissertation proposal might vary from the final dissertation that you submit; more sources might be added at a later date. Nevertheless, it is important to give a tentative idea of the sources you are likely to use.
6.    Appendix or appendices, if any – this could be questionnaires or other forms that you have used, some of the raw data you have collected and so on. If you want to make it absolutely professional, you could give a projected timeline of the steps you will be following.
