How do you write essay on topics of current interest in a way that gets a reader glued to your writing? Well, you will certainly agree that essay writing is an art and is one that needs time and effort to master. Since the advent of the internet and the other advancements in technology, books seem to have taken a back seat. However, it is still necessary for good writers to showcase their talent because even on the net, only a good writer can attract more browsers and viewers with good essays.
The importance of simple language:
Writing in a language like English seems to be a challenge for quite a few people. Though there are many countries where English is widely used, it is still a matter of great difficulty to be able to write, read and speak fluently. Therefore, when a piece of writing appears either on the net or in the print media, it should be in simple language and be easy on the eye as well. Without this, the reader will get bored and probably move on to something that is much simpler.
The target group:
Writing for children of a certain age is totally different form writing for young adults. For instance, when you write for children at primary school level, you need to focus on topics that would interest them. Maybe stories about fantasy worlds and other make-believe things would make them happy. In the case of other older children, it would be good to explore the boy-girl relationship that troubles quite a few teenagers today. In this case, your choice of words should be apt and in tune with what teenagers understand in today’s world. If the language is too old fashioned, it will not appeal to the youngsters who you want to target.
In like manner, if your target group consists of elderly people who are used to a more staid way of presentation, it is important that you incorporate this in your writing. Write essay in such a way that the older generation is comfortable with what you are trying to convey and the way in which you are doing it.
Sensitivity:
If you are going to write on issues that concern a particular group of people, it is necessary to be sensitized to their wants, likes and dislikes. For instance, if your essay is going to focus on the lives of the Tibetan people, it would not be politically correct to talk about the oppression that they face from China. It is necessary to understand the struggle they have faced in the past and part that the Chinese regime has played in it as well. Being sensitive to both the Tibetan as well as the Chinese people, would give your essay the right level of sensitivity.
Conclusion:
When you write essay on a subject and you come to the final part of the essay, remember the key is to connect the final statement with those that you have made in the introduction. Without this, it would be incomplete and not follow the rules of logical progression.
